Hays Co WCID #2 - Stage 2 Watering Restrictions Reminder

Belterra Residents and Water Customers –

This is a reminder that the community remains under Stage 2 watering restrictions. Under the drought contingency plan requirements adopted by the WTCPUA and the WCIDs earlier this year, irrigation with in-ground irrigation systems is prohibited from November through February while Stage 2 restrictions are in effect.

Please ensure that your irrigation system is turned off at the beginning of November, and that it remains off until the beginning of March (unless Stage 2 restrictions are rescinded). Reducing water usage will conserve drinking water during cooler months, and it will also help to reduce residential wastewater bills, which are based on winter-averaged water use.

For commercial customers using reclaimed water from our wastewater plant for irrigation, the prohibition during November through February does not apply.
