Boil Water Notice Rescinded – Water is Now Safe for Use

We are pleased to inform you that the boil water notice issued on Sunday, June 1, 2025, has been officially rescinded.

Both the West Travis County Public Utility Agency (WTCPUA) and Hays WCID 1 & Hays WCID 2 have received clear bacteriological test results, confirming that the water is safe for drinking, cooking, and all other normal uses.

What this means for you:

  • You may now resume using tap water without boiling.
  • Water meets all state and federal safety standards.
